Overview

The File menu includes commands related to creating, opening, and saving settings files; exporting GEDCOM data; and exiting the application.

New... (Ctl+N)

Closes the current settings file, if any, and opens a standard file dialog to create a new settings file.

Open... (Ctl+O)

Closes the current settings file, if any, and opens a standard file dialog to open an existing settings file.

Recent Files >

The Recent Files sub-menu contains a list of recently-opened settings files. Selecting one of the file names opens that file.

Save (Ctl+S)

Saves the current settings file.

Save As...

Saves a copy of the current settings file under a new name.

Close

Closes the current settings file.

Reload Data File (Ctl+G)

Reloads the data from the current TMG project and dataset.

Use this command if you have changed your TMG data by opening the project in TMG while TMG to GEDCOM is running.

Export to GEDCOM (Ctl+E)

Writes the TMG data to a GEDCOM file according to the current settings.

Exit

Closes the current settings file, if any, and exits the application.
